Q: What type of product is being used to stain brick and masonry?
A: The product is a silicate latex water base, non-flammable stain which needs to soak into the pores of the masonry to ensure the longevity to the project.
Q: How is it applied?
A: Generally the application is applied by hand using designer brushes and sponges to achived the texture on the rough masonry surfaces. It can also be compressed into a sprayer depending on job situation.
Q: How long does the tint last?
A: The product and application will last for the life of the building “25” year warranty within normal weather condition and building specification.
Q: What is the estimated cost?
A: There are different variables for all projects. Location, 2 story building, bungalow, smooth brick textured masonry, mortar may need colour treated to ensure a perfect colour match. Rough estimated cost is one dollar per brick.
Q: How long does it take to colour treat an average home?
A: Having a crew of 3 to 4 men colour treat a home of roughly 2000 square feet would be 40 to 50 hours.
Q: Do I need to clean brick / stone walls?
A: If we feel masonry needs to be cleaned it should be done prior to tint application.
Q: Are you insured and WSIB compliant?
A: Yes we are fully insured and WSIB compliant along with workplace safety and insurance board compliant.
